Planning Approval was secured in December 2016 for a major refurbishment and extension to a Listed Building in the City of London. The project converts a basement with historic brick vaulted ceilings, into conference facilities, replaces roof-level interventions from the 1970’s and extends the current office accommodation through the addition of two new storeys at roof level.

The existing office floors are converted to a more flexible open-plan arrangement through the removal of intrusive cross-walls and the main entrance is planned to be adapted to modern access standards. The submission was the culmination of pre-application work providing a scheme that protects and enhances the Heritage asset whilst achieving the Client’s brief to optimise the building’s potential to deliver quality office accommodation.
